Cold weather

Unfortunately with the onset of the ice and snow, epoxy flows less and production of components virtually grinds to a halt...just as well that I am holding stock.

Rear seat undertray

So you wish to have the clean tidy lines at the back end, the same look as the rear of the race bikes, well now you can!

Manufactured to the same specification as the race underseat oil catchtank. It is possible to keep your computer located as per the original road machine location, yet give the appearance of the factory racers.

Again this item is manufactured by Oro Nero to our high specification using only quality materials.

Ohlins remote/reservoir clamp

As used on the factory 888/926 Corse race bikes to hold the Ohlins rear remote in a vertical plane and allowing the adjustment of the shock to be carried out without having to remove the rear seat unit.

Manufactured by Oronero to the same specification or superior to when it was available through Ducati to the race teams.

Rear race underseat Oil catch tank 1993

Here we have the ‘corsa’ style underseat oil catch tank. This was fitted when the race bikes went over to the one-piece airbox, or in roadbike time when the cross-brace was removed from the production frame during 1992 onwards.

Again this item is manufactured by Oro Nero to our high specification using only quality materials.
Manufactured as per originals with kevlar reinforcing at all factory mounting points.

Nice toy.

Want to go racing with your 851 or 888 ?

So you think that you should have been out on the tracks of europe on your Ducati during the 1989 - 1994 era, possibly showing Falappa. Foggy, Mertems and Polen, ( to name but a few ), the way round the track?

Here are the details of a race series, rounds are to be held throughout europe...Live the dream!

Corsa and SP exhaust guard

Standard fitment on the SP models, though it may also have been fitted on other 851 and 888 models, is this carbon exhaust guard. It's purpose is to give a level of heat protection to your rear shock damper unit.

It is possible to retro fit this guard by either welding on a pair of nuts at the appropriate part of your exhaust downpipe or attatching a pair of 'rivnuts' also known as threaded rivets to an exhaust clamp and clamping this in the appropriate place.

Again this item is manufactured by Oro Nero to our high specification using only quality materials. For all enquiries contact us via this link.

Carbon race dash 888 926 corsa type.

Manufactured by Oro Nero this instrument dash pod uses carbon and aramid (kevlar) reinforcement cloth which is combined into a matrix using high quality epoxy, supplied by a leading worldwide resin manufacturer.

This style of instrument dash pod was only originally fitted to the works race bikes from 1992 onwards. However there is no issue with retro fitting this to any of the earlier race bikes, especially if fitted with any of the three types of race air runners/conveyors.

The three types of race air runners/conveyors will be available shortly, again made by us at Oro Nero to our normal high quality specification.

It is possible to fit these to a road going bike, especially if it is using a race style nose/front fairing, without the headlight cut out. Again these will be available from us shortly, if you want to run the bike on the UK roads with a 'daytime only' MOT.

We will be developing a kit to allow the fitment of the air runners/ conveyors with a headlight in the coming months. For any enquiries please send me an email, detail are given in the link 'VIEW MY COMPLETE PROFILE', also available on the right-hand side.

V-piece 851 888 Ducati Corse type

Manufactured by Oro Nero this fairing v-piece, uses carbon and aramid (kevlar) reinforcement cloth which is combined into a matrix using high quality epoxy, supplied by a leading worldwide resin manufacturer.

Fitment is only suitable for race fairings, either supplied directly by Ducati , Oro Nero or Fast by Ferrachi. PLEASE NOTE this will not fit road or street fairings and some lesser quality 'race style' fairings, the profile is different.

Where it all started.

Back in 1999, browsing through the local Ducati dealer's showroom I stumbled accross this 1990 Ducati SP2, within a fortnight it was in my garage. It would lead me on a journey over the coming years of highs and lows, connecting me with some great people, some of whom became good friends and a few who I would rather walk past and ignore.

In the time that I have owned this charismatic, exciting and fantastic machine there has been a progressive development in my career path. No longer am I restoring rusty and tired sports cars but since 2009 I have been manufacturing quality composite components for Ducati motorcycles.

It seemed right that I should start where it all began, with parts for the 851 and 888 models. There is a rather good forum which has worldwide participation from fans of these machines, they are also steadily gaining an enthusiastic following and upwardly appreciating value so investors are also seeking good examples out.

I recommend that you seek out the forum, www.ducati851and888.com there is a multitude of good information ranging from technical through to general chat. It is also a good source of finding some of the elusive parts needed to keep your machine on the road or finish up that concours rebuild, the regulars also seem very friendly!

Manufacturing of parts has now been in progress almost a year and I am looking at branding the products so that there is no confusion as to where the parts are from. This way they are not resold on as genuine period parts, (they really are that good) and can easily be differentiated alongside the countless faceless rubbish available through the internet auction sites and various forums!

Feel free to contact me with any queries, I shall update this blog over the coming months with news of what I manufacture and as new components become available, regards Peter. ( January 2010 ).
